Shadab Eyes Comeback Through HBL PSL 9

LAHORE:  Islamabad United Captain Shadab Khan sees HBL PSL 9 as an event to help him making a comeback to the national team.

He was selected for the New Zealand T20I series against New Zealand after weak performances in the Asia Cup and the ICC men’s World Cup in India.

To a question, the Islamabad United captain said he had put the previous performances behind, and he was fully focused on the upcoming tournament.

“I have set the goal to win Player of the Tournament at the HBL PSL 9,” he said.

On his performance, Shadab said cricket is a team game and team performance helps to win matches, saying that it was important to perform as captain of the team.

About strategy for the opening match of the HBL PSL 9, he said, his team will keep the things simple and have simple plans for the match against Lahore Qalnadars.

He added Lahore Qalnadars have been growing fast over the past years and they are a strong side. He expressed that the young players will perform well for the Islamabad United.

On Naseem Shah’ fitness, he said the pace bowler was doing well in the net and is super fit.

He urged all the fans of the Islamabad United to be patient with Naseem Shah’s performance after come back from the injury.

Shadab was confident that Tymil Mills’ presence in the team will help the team to performance well in the tournament.
