LAHORE: In order to combat the rising trend of online gambling, Lahore Police have escalated operations targeting illegal activities related to cricket betting, a press statement said on Monday.
The Chief Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore has issued directives for proactive measures to curb online gambling in the city. According to a press statement issued on Monday, CCPO Lahore, Bilal Siddique Kamiana, emphasized the importance of closely monitoring online gambling platforms and utilizing modern technology to combat the menace effectively.
Furthermore, Kamiana also highlighted the significance of monitoring social media accounts promoting online gambling and warned of stringent action against those involved in such activities. He affirmed the police department’s commitment to dealing firmly with anti-social elements engaged in online gambling.
