PMD Predicts Rain, Snowfall in Different Parts of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted rain, wind, and thunderstorms (with snowfall over hills) accompanied by gusty winds in northern and southwestern Balochistan, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and nearby mountainous regions.

Morning temperatures in major cities are as follows:

  • Islamabad and Muzafarabad: 8°C
  • Lahore: 12°C
  • Karachi: 18°C
  • Peshawar: 11°C
  • Quetta and Gilgit: 4°C
  • Murree: 0°C

For the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir region, cloudy skies are expected with the possibility of rain, wind, thunderstorms, and snow in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula. Jammu may experience cloudy weather with chances of rain, wind, and thunderstorms.

Morning temperatures in the region are recorded as:

  • Srinagar, Anantnag, and Shopian: 0°C
  • Jammu: 9°C
  • Leh: -12°C
  • Pulwama and Baramula: -1°C
