Heavy Snow Predicted in Several Parts of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a warning to residents and visitors alike to prepare for heavy snow and rain expected in Murree and Galiat and its surrounding areas in the coming days.

According to Director General PDMA Imran Qureshi, safety measures must be implemented by the local administration to minimize any potential risks during the period.  In response to his instructions, preparations have been finalized to effectively handle any emergencies that may arise.

DG PDMA Imran Qureshi has also urged tourists to cooperate with the administration during this period and advised them to carefully plan their journeys, considering the anticipated heavy snowfall in Murree and severe weather conditions.

Meanwhile, heavy rainfall has been observed in various parts of Islamabad and Rawalpindi on Friday morning. The intermittent rainfall, which began late Thursday night, has persisted throughout the day with intermittent breaks and is expected to continue until tomorrow (March 2).
