Saudi Arabia Marks International Women’s Day

JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia observes International Women’s Day on March 8th every year, joining the international community in promoting women’s progress and roles in various areas, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Friday.

The day includes different programs and events, such as lectures and seminars in universities and educational institutions, to promote empowerment of women at local, regional, and international levels.

On the occasion women’s achievements in different fields are highlighted. Awareness campaigns are held to support women’s rights and encourage society to utilize its capabilities to achieve progress and prosperity in various areas.

Saudi women have received special attention and care of the Saudi leadership, leading to a historic and unprecedented shift that enhanced their role in various areas. Women have become active partners in the upliftment and development of Saudi Arabia, achieving significant scientific, economic, political, and social successes.

The women through their ideas and actions, have made significant contributions to national development. The Saudi women have held positions across all fields, gaining prominence in scientific, cognitive, and innovative realms, in alignment with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
