ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted dry weather in most parts of the country during the next 24 hours, with cold weather prevailing in the northern regions, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Gilgit Baltistan, and Kashmir.
Weather During the Last 24 Hours:
According to the Meteorological Department, during the last 24 hours, rain-thunderstorms occurred in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, upper Punjab, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan, with snowfall in mountainous areas. Meanwhile, the rest of the country, including the settled areas, experienced dry weather.
Rainfall recorded in KP included Balakot with 30mm, Dir (upper 28mm and lower 04mm), Pattan 17mm, Kakul 14mm, Drosh 06mm, Malam Jabba, Saidu Sharif 04mm, and Chitral 03mm.
In Kashmir, Kotli received 27mm of rain, while Garhi Dupatta received 22mm, Rawalakot 21mm, and Muzaffarabad recorded unspecified rainfall. In Punjab, Murree received 11mm of rain, Mangla 09mm, Hafizabad, Chakwal, and Gujranwala 06mm, and Jhelum and Gujrat 05mm.
In Islamabad, 06mm of rain was recorded, while Astore in Gilgit Baltistan received 1mm of rain.
Snowfall in the Last 24 Hours:
During the last 24 hours, Kalam and Malam Jabba in Swat District received 02 inches of snow, with the lowest temperatures recorded in Leh and Kalam at -07°C, Malam Jabba and Kalat at -02°C, and Gupis and Bagrote at 00°C.
