WASHINGTON: Iraq’s Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani has arrived in Washington on an official trip at the invitation of US President Joe Biden, western media reported on Sunday.
According to Arab media, PM Al-Sudani will hold talks on bilateral ties with the US leadership. As per media reports the two sides will also discuss security, defense and economic matters during the visit of Iraqi PM.
This emphasis on economic cooperation comes amid the current talks between Baghdad and Washington concerning the future of Washington-led military alliance in Iraq. As both sides engage in talks, the trip presents a key opportunity to bolster economic cooperation between Iraq and the United States, Arab media reported.
