LAHORE: Pakistan and New Zealand teams reached Lahore on Monday for their upcoming two matches of the ongoing five-match T20I series to be held at Gadhafi Stadium Lahore.
After the first contest was washed out by rain, both the teams registered one win each in the first three matches of the T20I series, whereas the remaining two T20Is would be played at Gaddafi Stadium on 25, and 27th April, respectively.
A comendable performance by Pakistani bowlers in the second game, guided the home team to an easy win against the Black Caps whereas Mark Chapman’s unbeaten half-century took the Kiwis to a comfortable seven-wicket win against Pakistan in the third T20I. Both the matches were played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
New Zealand Young Team
Pakistan is playing under the leadership of Babar Azam who resumed charge as captain of the team to replace Shaheen Afridi. Whereas New Zealanders are playing the series with almost fresh faces as most of their players including Kim Williamson, Trent Bolt, Daryl Mitchel, Ferguson etc are busy in the IPL.
