ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s trade deficit reached $2.876 billion in November as exports marginally dropped from $2.384 billion in October to $2.369 billion, and imports increased to $5.245 billion from 4.711 billion dollars in the same period.
On a Year-on-Year (YoY) basis, exports shrank by 18.34 percent and imports by 33.60 percent, as in November 2021, Pakistan’s total exports stood at $2.901 billion, while its imports were $7.899 billion.
Trade Deficit Reaches of Pakistan
In the first five months of the fiscal year 2022, total exports were $12.362 billion while during the same period of the current fiscal year it decreased to $11. 932 billion. Imports also recorded a decrease as they were $32.983 billion in the first five months of FY22 but reduced to $26.338 billion in the same period of FY23.
