ISLAMABAD: The Hindu zealots in India continue to make false claims about historic sites, including Taj Mahal, after thirty years of the horrific event of Babri Mosque’s demolition.

In the latest event, a leader of the ruling party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) filed a petition in a court, seeking the formation of a committee to study the ‘real history’ of the magnificent Taj Mahal. The head of BJP’s media relations in Ayodhya Rajneesh Singh wanted to declare the historical site originally a Hindu temple.

Hindu Claim has no Scientific Evidence

He argued that there was no scientific evidence to prove the site has been made by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, but the court foiled his attempt.

Users of Twitter highlight Taj Mahal Muslim heritage:

Eradicate Muslim identity

The Hindutva under the rule of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and driven by RSS is peddling the narrative against Muslims’ history, their names, and historical sites across the country. The Hindu zealots are pursuing a drive to change the names of different cities and are claiming that more than 36,000 mosques were built over Hindu temples.

The list of cities included Farrukhabad, Badaun, Aligarh, Sultanpur, Deoband, Shahjahanpur and Ferozabad. The provincial government in UP has already changed the name of Allahabad to Prayagraj and Faizabad to Ayodhya.

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath—a close aide of PM Modi— is leading a drive to eradicate Muslim identity by changing the names of cities and districts with Muslim background.
