Pakistan, US Agree to Strengthen Economic Relations

ISLAMABAD: United States (US) Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome on Friday held a meeting with Abdul Aleem Khan, Federal Minister for Investment Board, Communications, and Privatization, to explore investment opportunities in the country.

The meeting underscored mutual interest in bolstering economic ties and attracting American businesses to Pakistan. Minister Abdul Aleem Khan acknowledged Pakistan’s economic challenges but highlighted significant investment prospects.

He assured Ambassador Bloom of the government’s commitment to facilitate potential investments, citing the crucial role of Pakistani diaspora in bolstering foreign exchange reserves.

Khan expressed a focus on enhancing infrastructure, particularly highways and motorways, to boost connectivity and support economic development.

Both sides expressed optimism and a shared commitment to strengthening bilateral economic relations.
