ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Information Technology sector is set to receive a substantial boost this year under the auspices of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), officials said on Monday.

According to a report published by Radio Pakistan, the government has allocated seventy-nine billion rupees to boost the sector as it has a huge potential.

A significant portion of this budget, totalling nineteen billion rupees, will be dedicated to the construction of IT parks in Islamabad and Karachi. These hubs are expected to provide essential infrastructure to support the growing tech industry in the country.

Additionally, the Pakistan Software Export Board will receive twenty-two billion rupees to further enhance its capabilities in promoting software exports and supporting local IT companies.

The IT sector is increasing rapidly due to the facilitation of SIFC and various start-ups have also emerged which are introducing themselves across the world.
