MUMBAI: Veteran Bollywood actress Tabassum, commonly known as Tabu, revealed that she had turned down several movie offers alongside superstar Shah Rukh Khan. During an interview with Indian media, the actress explained her decision regarding film projects. Tabassum explained that when a film did not resonate with her, she declines it.
“I was offered numerous movies with renowned actor Shah Rukh Khan, but I said no. I believe Shah Rukh also rejects many projects,” she said.
Reflecting on her acting career, Tabassum shared that she always focused on her own work and never tried to surpass or overshadow SRK. Tabu stressed on the importance of giving each other space and respecting each other in the professional realm.
When the actress asked about retirement, the 52-year-old Tabu replied that she has no plans regarding retirement. ” The writers and filmmakers should create roles for me,” she said.
