GAZA: The Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education has reported that more than 10,034 students have been killed and 16,423 others wounded in the ten months of the Israeli bombardment campaign in the besieged Gaza Strip.
Since the conflict began on October 7, 2023, 9,936 students have been killed and 15,897 injured in the Gaza Strip. In the West Bank, 107 students have been killed, 526 injured, and 390 arrested.
The Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education said that 504 teachers and administrators have died, 3,426 have been injured, and more than 117 have been detained in the West Bank.
The conflict has severely impacted educational infrastructure. In Gaza, 119 government schools have been heavily damaged, with over 62 completely destroyed.
Furthermore, 191 schools, including those run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), have been bombed or vandalized. Approximately 20 universities have been severely damaged, with 31 completely destroyed and 57 partially destroyed.

In the West Bank, 69 schools have been vandalized, and 5 universities have faced repeated raids, vandalism, and tampering.
According to the Palestinian News and Information Agency (WAFA), the conflict has deprived over 620,000 students in Gaza from attending school, including 39,000 high school students. Many students are also experiencing psychological trauma and facing severe health challenges.
