KYIV: President Volodymyr Zelensky praised the Ukrainian army on Thursday for its strategic prowess and ability to deliver results, without directly addressing the reported cross-border assault into Russia’s Kursk region.
Moscow has claimed that Kyiv’s forces have been active in Kursk since Tuesday.
During an event to launch a new digital app aimed at reducing military paperwork, Zelensky highlighted the Ukrainian army’s capacity for surprise and effectiveness.
“Everyone can see that the Ukrainian army excels at surprising its adversaries and achieving significant results,” Zelensky stated.
“This is evident on the battlefield, where our soldiers not only endure the overwhelming force of the occupiers but also defeat them as needed to protect our country and maintain our independence,” he added in a video shared on Telegram.
