PCB Announces Team Management for Pakistan Test Series Against Bangladesh

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the team management for the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh, set to begin later this month.

Naveed Akram Cheema has been appointed as the Manager of the Pakistan cricket team. Cheema, known for his extensive experience and leadership in cricket administration, will oversee the team’s operations and logistics during the series.

Jason Gillespie, the former Australian fast bowler and renowned coach, has been named the Head Coach. Gillespie brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously served as the head coach for various domestic and international teams.

Azhar Mahmood, a former Pakistani all-rounder and current coaching specialist, will take on the role of Assistant Coach. Mahmood’s expertise in both batting and bowling is expected to complement Gillespie’s coaching strategies and aid in player development.

Tim Nelson has been appointed as the High-Performance Coach. Nelson, with his background in sports science and player conditioning, will focus on enhancing the players’ physical and mental preparation to ensure they are at peak performance levels.

Cliff Deacon will join the team as the physiotherapist. Deacon’s role will be crucial in managing player injuries and ensuring optimal physical health throughout the series.

The Test series against Bangladesh will kick off with the first match at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from 21 to 25 August. The second Test will be held at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi from 30 August to 3 September.
