Gold Prices Hit Record High of Rs260,700 Per Tola in Pakistan

KARACHI:  After declining in the last session, gold prices in Pakistan increased on Monday, reaching new record highs in line with the surge in international rates. The price of gold per tola increased by Rs700, bringing it to Rs260,700 in the local market.

The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) said that the 10-gram gold was sold at Rs223,508 following it registered a rise of Rs600.   On Monday, gold price clocked in at Rs260,000 following decreased by Rs200.

The global rate of gold inched up on Tuesday. APGJSA said that the rate was at $2,512 per ounce (with a premium of $20) following it gained $10 during the day. According to the Association, silver prices remained unchanged at Rs2,950 per tola.
