Gold Rate Per Tola Increases Rs 300 in Pakistan

KARACHI: Gold rates in Pakistan continued their upward trend on Wednesday, setting a new record in tandem with rising international rates.

In the local market, the price of 24-carat gold per tola rose by Rs 300, reaching Rs 261,000, marking the third record high within the past month.

The price of 10 grammes of gold increased by Rs257, bringing it to Rs223,765, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).  Meanwhile, silver prices remained unchanged at Rs2,950 per tola.

On Tuesday, gold prices had already reached a new peak at Rs260,700, after a Rs700 increase. Globally, the price of gold remained steady on Wednesday, with APGJSA reporting a rate of $2,512 per ounce, along with a $20 premium.
