Iran’s Response to Israeli Crime is Definite: Envoy

TEHRAN: Iran’s ambassador to Lebanon in a message on Tuesday said that Iran’s response to the Israeli killing of former Hamas Chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran is definite and the timing will be determined by Iran’s military forces.

Mojtaba Amani in his post on social media platform X said he has met with a number of Lebanese media outlets and discussed important issues taking place in Lebanon and the region. “They welcomed the strategy of resisting in the face of separate responses,” he said.

The envoy added Iran’s response to the crime committed by Israel in the assassination of ex-Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran is certain, and the time of the response is decided by the Iranian military forces.

Ismail Haniyeh, who was in Tehran to attend the swearing-in ceremony of new Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and one of his bodyguards were killed after their residence was targeted on July 31.
