RIYADH: The Saudi Ministry of Culture was honored with the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Ethics Medal for 2024 on the sidelines of the 3rd Global AI Summit 2024 (GAIN Summit), held in Riyadh, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Friday.
The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) organized the summit.
Due to its dedication to applying ethical standards to the use of AI technology, the Ministry of Culture was one of the first institutions to follow the AI ethics project in September 2022, thus winning this award.
The AI ethics program is a part of the ongoing government efforts to back the Kingdom’s AI national strategy. Its objectives include bolstering economic growth, setting up clear guidelines for AI ethics, and supporting and promoting research and innovation in the area.
