NEW YORK: John Legend expressed his admiration for Taylor Swift’s courageous political stance, highlighting the personal risk she took by publicly voicing her political opinions.
Legend, an accomplished musician and recent author of a children’s album, emphasized the significance of Swift’s activism in a landscape where many celebrities are hesitant to speak out on political matters.
Speaking to reporters, Legend acknowledged the potential backlash that Swift faced for her political views. “It was riskier for her to start speaking out about politics than it is for me,” Legend said.
“I’ve always respected the fact that she was willing to take that risk.” Legend’s comments underscore his appreciation for Swift’s willingness to engage in political discourse.

Legend addressed the online trolling he and his wife, Chrissy Teigen, have endured. Initially, the negativity affected them deeply, but Legend revealed that they have since developed a more resilient mindset.
“We became numb to it,” he said, noting that their focus has shifted to their roles as parents and their confidence in their personal lives rather than public criticism.
