Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) is Being Celebrated with Religious Fervor

ISLAMABAD: Eid Milad-ul-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him) is being celebrated today (Tuesday) across Pakistan with great religious zeal and fervor.

The day will begin with a thirty-one-gun salute in Islamabad and a twenty-one-gun salute in all provincial capitals.

Special prayers will be offered after the Fajr prayer for the unity of the Muslim Ummah and the prosperity and progress of the country. It will be a public holiday to mark the day.

Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony will host a National Seerat Conference in Islamabad.

A Mehfil-e-Naat and Seerat Prize Distribution ceremony will also be organized this evening in Islamabad under the auspices of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony.

Streets, roads, buildings, mosques, and houses have been decorated with colorful lights to celebrate this auspicious occasion.

Milad processions will be taken out in all cities of the country to celebrate the day in which Ulema and Khateeb will highlight all aspects of the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) stressing to follow his teachings and Sunna.

Mahafil-e-Milad are also being organized in all small and major cities to highlight the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH)) and his teachings.

Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari has called upon the entire nation and the Muslim Ummah to abide by the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) as a guiding light to overcome the prevailing challenges.

Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar had said the life of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) provides guidance and a lesson to mankind.

He was addressing the prize distribution Naat ceremony in Islamabad. The Deputy Prime Minister said the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) always stressed the importance of knowledge, righteousness, justice, and compassion and we should incorporate these virtues into our daily lives.
