UNITED NATIONS: Iran’s Ambassador to the UN, Amir Saeid Iravani, has called on the United Nations to condemn Israel for an attack targeting Iran’s ambassador to Lebanon, Mojtaba Amani.

Amani was injured in an explosion linked to electronic pagers, part of a series of blasts across Lebanon.

In letters to the UN Secretary-General and leaders of the Security Council, Iravani urged the international community to denounce Israel’s actions as terrorism and its targeting of Lebanese civilians.

He emphasized that Iran reserves the right to take necessary action under international law in response to this violation.

Iran is expected to pursue the matter through diplomatic and legal channels. This incident adds to the ongoing tensions between Israel and Iran, especially amid the broader Israel-Palestine conflict and regional hostilities. Iran views this attack as a serious escalation that further destabilizes the region.
