TEHRAN, Iran: Lebanon’s Hezbollah Resistance Movement has reaffirmed its commitment to defend the country against increasing Israeli aggression and vowed revenge for recent attacks.

Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, head of Hezbollah’s Executive Council, stated on Wednesday that the group would neither “fear nor retreat” in the face of Israeli actions. He warned Israeli military commanders that Hezbollah is prepared to respond and “inflict heavy blows” on the enemy.

Safieddine’s remarks followed a series of explosions targeting pagers across Lebanon, killing at least 12 people, including two children, and injuring nearly 3,000 others. He assured that Hezbollah would retaliate for this “terrorist incident,” blaming Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for escalating tensions.

Earlier on Wednesday, Hezbollah struck several targets in the occupied Palestinian territories, underscoring the group’s readiness for confrontation. Later, additional explosions in Beirut, southern Lebanon, and other areas killed 20 more people and injured over 450, further fueling the conflict. Safieddine stressed that Netanyahu’s actions would not achieve their goals, as Hezbollah remains resolute.
