Gomal University in Collaboration with China Launches Technical Training Lab

PESHAWAR: Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, expressed his support for the establishment of a Technical Training Lab at Gomal University, developed in collaboration with China.

The initial groundwork for the lab has commenced, driven by the Governor’s keen interest and directives from Gulmina Bilal, Chairperson of the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC).

A meeting convened at Gomal University, attended by key stakeholders including Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Shakeebullah, Registrar Zahir Shah Marwat, and representatives from the Chinese organization UNI International, focused on the project. Other attendees included Ghufran Malook, PRO to the Governor, and Muhammad Fazlur Rehman from the PID Regional Office in Dera Ismail Khan.

During the meeting, the Governor underscored the importance of creating economic opportunities for the youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Under the Youth Engagement and Women Empowerment Agenda, Gulmina Bilal has tasked UNI International with providing local students with modern facilities for online marketing and trading.

Registrar Zahir Shah Marwat highlighted Gomal University’s unique position at the intersection of three provinces, allowing it to serve students from these regions effectively. He praised Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Shakeebullah Khan for his commitment to supporting such initiatives and acknowledged the university administration’s proactive efforts in facilitating these developments.

The delegation also toured various areas of the university’s city campus, and a report will be prepared to present to both the NAVTTC Chairperson and the Chancellor of the University, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi.
