RAWALPINDI: Four Khwarij (terrorists) have been killed in two separate operations carried out by Pakistan’s security forces in northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a military statement said on Thursday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation on Wednesday in the general area of Janikhel, Bannu District, following reports of Khwarij presence. During the operation, after an intense exchange of fire, two Khwarij were eliminated.
The following day, on October 10, another operation took place in the Hassan Khel area of North Waziristan District, where security forces effectively engaged the militants, killing two more Khwarij.
Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the slain militants, who were known to be involved in various terrorist activities, including attacks on security forces and the abduction and targeting of innocent civilians.
Security forces are currently sanitizing the area to eliminate any remaining Khwarij, as they remain committed to eradicating the threat of terrorism from the country.
