PESHAWAR: Pakistan police and security forces on Monday foiled a terrorist attack on police lines in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bannu district and killed all five terrorists including a suicide bomber.
According to the district police, the terrorists in an attempt to sneak into the police lines started indiscriminate firing on police. However, the already alert police officials killed all five terrorists in retaliation.
Soon after the attack all roads around the police lines were closed and security was put on high alert.
According to media reports, the attackers entered the police lines in burqas and opened fire.
Meanwhile, security forces have started a search operation in the areas surrounding the police lines to apprehend suspected persons.
