TEL AVIV, Israel: Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz announced on Sunday that he has ordered legal and diplomatic action against French President Emmanuel Macron after France banned Israeli firms from participating in the upcoming Euronaval military naval trade show.
According to Reuters news agency the French government cited concerns over Israel’s actions in Gaza and Lebanon as the reason for barring Israeli companies from exhibiting at the event.
Seven Israeli firms were affected by the decision, though they are still permitted to attend the trade show. Katz criticized the move as undemocratic and urged Macron to reverse the ban, calling it an unacceptable measure between friendly nations.
