ISLAMABAD: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has launched a significant initiative to construct 1,000 permanent homes for families in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Punjab provinces who were displaced by the devastating 2022 floods.
This initiative, formalized on October 8, 2024, through an agreement between KSrelief and Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), aims to help rebuild flood-affected communities.
The housing project will provide secure and resilient accommodations for around 7,000 people, with 590 houses being built in Dera Ismail Khan (KP) and 410 in Rajanpur and Dera Ghazi Khan (Punjab). Each house will consist of two rooms, a kitchen, and a washroom, ensuring safety and stability for the affected families.
This initiative is part of KSrelief’s broader efforts to support recovery and improve the long-term well-being of communities hit by natural disasters in Pakistan.
