ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari has denounced the firing of armed men in Panjgur and expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the terrorist attack, a statement said on Tuesday.
President House press wing said that President Zardari expressed his deep condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in Panjgur incident.
The President stated that terrorists were enemies of the nation’s development and prosperity of the province. He added that terrorists do not want to see the province of Balochistan to develop. The President also prayed for the early recovery of the wounded of the attack.
President Zardari prayed for high ranks of the departed souls in Jannah and patience for the bereaved families, the statement further said.
Earlier, local media reported that at least five people were killed and two were wounded following unknown armed men opened fire on people working at the site of a dam in Balochistan’s Panjgur.
