JEDDAH: The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on a defence and security forces base in Barkaram, western Chad on October 27, 2024.
According to an OIC statement on Tuesday, the attack resulted in the death of 40 people.
The OIC Secretary General Hissein Brahim Taha expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the dead and wished speedy recovery to the injured.
The Secretary-General reiterated OIC’s support for the government and people of Chad in their efforts to counter terrorism and strengthen security, peace, and stability in their country.
