ISLAMABAD: Pakistan will host the women’s cricket teams of England, New Zealand, and Zimbabwe for the first time, as announced in the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Future Tours Programme (FTP) for 2025-29.
Zimbabwe cricket team will tour Pakistan in April-May 2026, New Zealand in April 2027, and England in October of the same year.
The tours are part of the fourth cycle of the ICC Women’s Championship, running from 2026 to 2029, where 11 teams will compete for direct qualification to the Women’s ODI World Cup in 2029. Zimbabwe will participate in the Women’s Championship for the first time.
In the Women’s Championship, each team will play four home and four away series, with a total of 132 One-Day Internationals (ODIs) scheduled across 44 series.
Pakistan will also host Bangladesh’s women’s team in October 2028. For their away fixtures, Pakistan’s women’s team will travel to South Africa in February 2026, followed by a series in Sri Lanka in July, then the West Indies in November, and concluding with a tour of Ireland in June 2028.
The ICC has scheduled a women’s tournament every year within the FTP cycle, beginning with the Women’s World Cup in India in 2025, followed by the Women’s T20 World Cup in England in 2026, the inaugural Women’s Champions Trophy in 2027, and the Women’s T20 World Cup in 2028.
To prepare for these major ICC events, teams have also scheduled tri-series tournaments. Ireland will host Pakistan and the West Indies in a tri-series ahead of the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup in England.
