ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has always faced criticism for the poor pitches of the cricket grounds, and an example of this is the recent series between Pakistan and England test series 2022.
Brisbane pitch, Rawalpindi pitch comparison
The ICC also given negative points to the Rawalpindi pitch, while Australia has also criticized in his last tour to Pakistan. But now the same kind of issue surfaced as the Brisbane, Australia pitch has turned out to be another graveyard of the batters. As many as 34 players were out in 2 days, and the result of the match was also there.
The South African team, which visited Australia, was bowled out for 152 runs in the first innings of the Brisbane Test and in response the Kangaroos scored 218 runs. In the second innings, too, the Proteas’ batters failed miserably, and the entire team returned to the pavilion for only 99 runs. The target of 34 runs given by South Africa was met by Australia at the loss of 4 wickets only. Thus, the Brisbane Test proved to be fruitful on the second day on Sunday, and a total of 34 players were dismissed during the two days of play.
Australia’s Pete Cummins took 2 wickets in the first innings and five in the second innings, while Australia’s Travis Head was declared the man of the match for his brilliant knock of 92 runs in the first innings.
