ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister of Defense Khwaja Asif on Tuesday said that inflation would start witnessing a gradual decline as the government had planned to bring a comprehensive relief package for the people in the coming days.

Talking to journalists outside the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), the minister said that providing relief to the masses and reducing the prices of daily commodities were top priorities of the government.

He said the government reduced the petroleum and electricity prices a few days back to benefit the common men.

Khwaja Asif claims Imran Khan’s card failed

While talking about the current political situation in the country, Khwaja Asif said that a no-trust motion had been moved in the Punjab Assembly against the chief minister, speaker, and deputy speaker and its result would come in the coming two to three days.

Criticizing the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief and former prime minister Imran Khan, he said that the last card played by Khan could not work, rather a new revelation is being made every day against him in the Toshakhana gifts case.

He said the people have come to know Bushra Bibi, Khan’s wife, was doing corruption by selling the Toshakhana gifts.
