ISLAMABAD/NEW YORK: YouTube has enabled comments on automatically generated-music videos, also referred to as art tracks, after it previously disabled the option in December 2020.

Art tracks, which include sound recordings and album art, help to round out the YouTube catalogue.

How to use the latest Youtube feature

The feature can be turned on by official artist channels by selecting the “Settings” menu, then Channel status and features, according to 9to5 Google. One has to then opt for “Defaults” under the “Community” menu option. The channel’s settings allow it to either “Allow all comments” or “Hold potentially inappropriate comments for review.” However, it is not possible to moderate comments on art tracks.

The platform saw more traffic and engagement overall from the comment section. Since music lovers loved the feature so much, users expressed disappointment when it was disabled.

Some users have recently been able to comment on the music videos, despite YouTube not providing an official update on the feature’s reopening.
