SAN FRANCISO: Chief Executive of SpaceX Elon Musk claimed on Monday that his company is close to having a hundred active Starlinks in Iran.
Elon Musk’s claim
According to Reuters, Elon Musk has made the claim via his Twitter account. He posted, “approaching 100 Starlinks active in Iran”. He had also tweeted in September that his company would activate Starlink service in Iran amid protest demonstrations in the country. He had added that he would activate it as part of a U.S.-backed effort to advance net freedom to Iranians.

Iran has been engulfed in protest demonstrations that erupted following the death of Mahsa Amini in police custody in September. Mahsa Amini was arrested by the morality police for violating the country’s dress code.
