Chinese Authorities Discovered Hundreds of 4,500 Years Old Tombs

ISLAMABAD: Archaeologists and geological scientists have discovered more than 300 tombs that date back around 4,500 years in central China’s Henan Province.

Significance of Chinese discoveries

These 4,500 years old tombs date back to the era of prehistoric China and are of great significance to studying the burial system and social structure of China.

Location of Chinese tombs

These more than 300 pre-historic Chinese tombs discovered by Chinese archeologists and experts are located in the Suyang relics site in the city of Luoyang, China.

The Luoyang Municipal Institute in a statement said that this series of tombs covers an area of about 15,000 square meters, and all of the tombs are in rectangular shape.

Chinese archaeologists unearth skeletons

Chinese archaeologists have also discovered nine tombs having skeletons of 10 people which were unearthed by the tomb.

Some of the Chinese tombs depict the serious damage by tomb invaders. The initial excavation process illustrates that the tomb complex can be traced back to the early stage of the Longshan Culture also known as the Black Pottery Culture.
