BAJAUR, KPK: At least six people, including four children and two women, were killed and six others injured in a roof collapse in the Eidgah Mosque area in Bajaur district of Pakistan’s Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province on Monday.
The incident happened at around 11:30 pm Monday night when the roof of a room caved in and fell on the sleeping family members.
Rescue 1122 identified the owner of the house as Liaqat, son of Muhammad Sultan.
The deceased were identified as Saddam, 20, son of Muhammad Sultan, Hasina, 4, daughter of Lal, Aaisha (eight-month infant), daughter of Zakir, Toheed, 7, daughter of Liaqat, Shazma Bibi, 32, wife of Liaqat, Saima Bibi, 30, wife of Lal.
Rescue workers reach roof collapse site
Soon after the incident, Rescue 1122 reached the site of the incident along with ambulances and disaster vehicles.
Almost all amily members buried under the debris were retrieved and shifted to the district headquarters hospital Khar. – APP
