PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Mahmood Khan here on Sunday announced to send the summary for the dissolution of the KP Assembly to the Governor on Tuesday, January 17.

In a post on his Facebook page, CM Mahmood Khan claimed that Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf would again come into power with a two-third majority.

Taking to Twitter, CM Mahmood Khan said that following the orders of PTI Chief Imran Khan, he would send a summary to Governor for dissolution of the provincial assembly on Tuesday.

“PTI will be re-elected in the next general elections and will form a government with a two-thirds majority,” Mahmood Khan wrote.

After Punjab, KP Assembly will stand dissolve

Earlier in January, PTI chief Imran Khan said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly would be dissolved immediately after the dissolution of the Punjab Assembly.

While talking to news anchors today, Imran Khan said, “The establishment cannot carry the PDM burden anymore as the PDM will not be able to extend the tenure of the caretaker government.”

“The present political situation is moving toward general elections,” Imran Khan stated.

A day earlier, the Punjab provincial assembly was dissolved as Punjab Governor Baligh-ur-Rehman excused himself from signing the dissolution summary. He said that he could not become a part of the process.
