ISLAMABAD: The Ruet-e-Hilal committees are set to meet today (Sunday) for the crescent sighting of the seventh month of the Islamic calendar Rajab 1444 AH at their respective headquarters.
Muhammad Umar Butt, spokesperson, Ministry of Religious Affairs, told APP that the meeting of the Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committee would be held at the ministry’s office in Islamabad and attended by Chairman Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad.
Meanwhile, other members of the central committee would attend the meetings of their respective provincial district committees, he added.
Rajab Announcement on basis of information received
He added that Maulana Azad would announce at the end of the meeting if the crescent of Rajab has been sighted or not on the basis of the information received. — APP
