ISLAMABAD: To improve travelers’ overall experience, the National Highway and Motorway Police (NHMP) have set up an information and facilitation desk at Phalgran toll plaza on the Murree Expressway.
NHMP officials said that the desk has been staffed by police authorities who would be available to provide information and assistance to travelers passing through the place. They also said that the police officers could also be responsible for ensuring a smooth traffic flow on the Murree Expressway.
Murree Expressway
The E-75 Expressway or Murree Expressway is a four-lane partially operational controlled-access expressway linking Islamabad to Murree in Punjab province. The second section between Murree and Muzaffarabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir is currently under construction.
They said that the police department‘s aim is to make travelers’ journeys comfortable by providing them with accurate and up-to-date information about weather, road conditions, and other essential information.
The officials said that the officials could also be available to answer any questions travelers may have about the place and to aid in emergencies. They have urged the people to avoid traveling unnecessarily to Murree and ensure vehicle fitness and essential equipment such as tire chains and tow chains.
The officials said that during bad weather, travelers should keep a distance between vehicles than normal conditions and follow the instructions of the police personnel on duty.
