ISLAMABAD: In the era of the internet and information technology, it would be interesting to ask which website—from Google to Baidu— dominates the world these days.
According to the Vancouver-based organization Visual Capitalist, Google dominated the world’s top 50 websites with 85.1 billion monthly visits in the United States.
YouTube got the second position with 33 billion monthly visits in the US. The third famous site is Facebook which has 17.8 billion monthly viewers’ traffic in the United States. The social media platform Twitter comes at 4th, with 6.88 billion monthly visits in the United States.
Instagram holds the fifth position with 6.18 billion monthly visits in US, followed by Baidu with 5 billion monthly views in China. Wikipedia comes at 7th with 4.8 billion monthly visits again in the United States, followed by Yandex with 3.4 billion monthly visits in Russia.
The emailing service Yahoo comes at ninth position in the list with 3.3 billion monthly visits in US while the messaging and calling service WhatsApp holds 10th position with 2.9 billion monthly visits in US.

The top 50 websites list included 11 News and Media publishers, 10 social media networks, 5 search engines, 3 programming and developing software, 2 streaming, and online TV, 2 dictionaries and encyclopedias, 2 marketplace, 2 emails, 2 video games consoles and accessories and 10 others.
