ISLAMABAD: A local court in Islamabad on Friday extended the bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan till February 27 in a case related to his party’s protest against the Election Commission of Pakistan’s verdict in Tosha Khana reference.
PTI chief sought exemption on medical grounds
At the outset of the hearing, former prime minister Imran Khan’s lawyer filed an application seeking his client’s exemption from appearance in the court on medical grounds. The court agreed to the plea and extended Imran’s bail till February 27. The court also ordered the PTI chairman to submit his written reply.
