Pakistan’s NDMA Dispatches Relief Items for Quake-hit Turkiye, Syria

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has dispatched 21 trailers of the National Logistics Cell (NLC) carrying relief items and goods for the quake-hit victims of Syria and Turkiye via Taftan, Iran road route, officials said on Friday.

The NDMA spokesperson said that the NLC trailers reached Taftan, Iran with relief goods and items. It was the first convoy of relief sent to Turkiye and Syria affected by the recent earthquake reached Taftan. This relief cargo was consisting of twenty-one trailers being be sent to the quake-hit Turkiye and Syria through Taftan. Officials said that the relief items included blankets, tents, and other essential items.

Officials said that more than 44,000 people have died due to recent earthquake in Turkiye, and Syria.
