ISLAMABAD: Wada Mitsuhiro, ambassador of Japan in Pakistan, on Thursday hosted a reception to celebrate the 63rd birthday of Emperor Naruhito. On the occasion the chief guest was Minister of Human Rights Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada.
According to news brief issued by the Japanese embassy, the event was attended by the ministers, parliamentarians, senior government officials, members of the diplomatic community and other dignitaries from the public and private sector.
Ambassador Mitsuhiro and distinguished guests cut a cake to mark the Emperor Naruhito’s Birthday.
Emperor Naruhito became Japan’s 126th Emperor of Japan on 1 May 2019.
The Ambassador, while welcoming the guests on the occasion, stressed Japanese businesses’ high hopes of new business opportunities in Pakistan, referring to recent investments by Japanese companies.

The envoy also emphasized that among the nearly 77 million American dollars that was announced at the Geneva Conference, around half of its rehabilitation and humanitarian assistance had already been disbursed.
He expressed his gratitude to the Pakistan’s people for exhibiting their affinity and trust toward Japan and ensured his commitment to continue efforts to further strengthen mutual ties.
