PESHAWAR: Residents of Jamrud, Tehsil Bara Khyber Tribal District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday protested against long hours of load shedding in the area and demanded government to end the unannounced power outages in the area.
The residents of tehsils Jamrud, Bara and Landi Kotal gathered to the main road at Jamrud and demanded TESCO (tribal electric supply company) to end the unending and continues load shedding in the area causing problems to the locals.
Locals demand TESCO to end load shedding
They threathened the government for blocking the main Peshawar-Torkham road for all kin of traffic if their demands were not addressed on immediate bases.
Later, Deputy Commissioner Khyber, Abdul Nasir Khan and seniour officials of TESCO held negotiations with the demonstrators and requested them them to end their protest peacefully. They assured resolution of their problems.
