ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi on Monday paid tribute to veteran actor Qavi Khan, who passed away yesterday, for his contribution to the field of acting and drama.
In a condolence message on Twitter, the president expressed grief over the legendary artist’s death and said, “The services of Qavi Khan for Pakistani drama would be long remembered.”
He prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace and for the grant of patience to the bereaved family.

Life and Legacy of Qavi Khan
Qavi Khan is the recipient of Nishan-i-Imtiaz, the highest civil award in the country. Born in Peshawar, he started his career in the 1960s and quickly rose to fame owing to his immense talent and hard work.
One of the most respected actors in Pakistan, he had a career spanning over 40 years and showcased his talent in every medium of entertainment, including theatre, radio, and television.
