LAHORE: Senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former provincial health minister Dr. Yasmeen Rashid has said that her party was demanding trial under Article-6 against former Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa because he himself had admitted that he has been interfering in political affairs.
About General (retd) Faiz Hameed, Yasmeen Rashid said, “I have no enmity with General (retd) Faiz Hameed to ask for trial under Article-6 against the former DG ISI.”
In an exclusive interview with WE News, PTI Punjab President Yasmeen Rashid said that Imran Khan faced an assassination attempt, but the attack’s FIR was not registered as per their aspiration. “We wanted an FIR to be registered against Dirty Harry, Rana Sanaullah, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, but our FIR was not registered,” she added.
Yasmeen Rashid said she was present in that container when Imran Khan was attacked in Wazirabad during PTI’s long march. “When we leave our homes, we are first worried about Khan’s safety. If Khan Sahib is arrested, we will worry about his security,” she maintained.
The former health minister said that General Bajwa did not call her when Nawaz Sharif was undergoing treatment at the Services Hospital; however, Imran Khan had directed her to inquire about Nawaz Sharif’s health. “Imran Khan had expressed his concerns regarding Nawaz Sharif’s health to me. When Nawaz Sharif came to Services Hospital, his platelets had fallen. We had diagnosed his illness and started his treatment,” Yasmeen revealed.
Will contest election against Maryam Nawaz if warded NA ticket: Yasmeen Rashid
Dr. Yasmeen Rashid said that if Imran Khan awards her the National Assembly ticket, she will definitely contest the election against Maryam Nawaz.
“I hope that the elections will be held on time for the betterment of the country. All elections should be held as soon as possible. We disagree with the elections after the budget. We want quick elections,” the PTI leader said.
To a question, Dr. Yasmeen Rashid said that Pervez Elahi is being made the senior president of PTI. “Ask Parvez Elahi whether he is getting a ticket for provincial assembly or not,” she responded.
It should be noted that Dr. Yasmeen Rashid is the president of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Punjab chapter and played an important role in the award of tickets for the provincial assembly in Punjab.
