Pak Rupee Sheds 57 Paisa Against US Dollar

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan rupee weakened by 57 paisa against the dollar in the interbank trading on Wednesday and closed at Rs282.85 against the previous day’s closing of Rs282.28.

According to FAP (Forex Association of Pakistan), the buying and selling rates of dollars in the open market were recorded at Rs283.5 and Rs286.5 respectively.

The price of the Euro also witnessed an increase by Rs1.79 and closed at Rs303.61 against the last day’s closing of Rs301.82, according to SBP (State Bank of Pakistan).

Meanwhile, the Japanese Yen witnessed a decline by 1 paisa to close at Rs2.09, whereas the British Pound witnessed an increase of Rs0.9 and was traded at Rs343.89 as compared to its last day’s closing of Rs342.99.

The exchange rates of the Emirates Dirham went up by 15 paisa to Rs77.01 from Rs76.86, whereas Saudi Riyal increased up by 13 paisa to close at Rs75.31.
