Newly Appointed Envoys Present Their Credentials to President Arif

ISLAMABAD: Newly appointed envoys of Kosovo, Malaysia, Portugal, Lithuania, and Ecuador presented their credentials to President Dr Arif Alvi in Islamabad on Wednesday.

The envoys also made separate calls on President Dr Arif Alvi.

During his meeting with Portugal’s Ambassador, President Alvi said Pakistan and Portugal have a huge scope of cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, and agriculture, and Portuguese companies should invest in diverse fields in Pakistan. He said business delegations would be facilitated to explore areas of cooperation.

President Alvi holds separate meetings with envoys

Welcoming the Malaysian High Commissioner, the President said Pakistan wants to further strengthen bilateral relations with that country in the areas of defence, economy, trade, education, tourism, science, and technology.

During his meeting with Kosovo’s Ambassador, the President said Pakistan is desirous of promoting closer cooperation with Kosovo and, being an emerging market offers numerous investment opportunities. He emphasized the need for an increased exchange of high-level visits between the two countries.

Talking to Lithuania‘s Ambassador, Dr Arif Alvi, highlighted the need to develop a mechanism for increasing mutual trade and cooperation.

Talking to Ecuador’s Ambassador, the President said Pakistan looks forward to enhancing trade, political, economic, and cultural relations with Ecuador by developing institutional frameworks for the purpose.
